Text messaging to a mobile phone that is.

Hello Kml57,

The answer to your question depends on the type of modem you have.

-If you have a regular a modem that is plugged into a phone line, you will want to use the SMS Text Pager: TAP or UCP (depending on your geographical location and provider) Action. This Alert Action will dial into your service provider's SMS gateway and send it a message that will be relayed to your cell phone. The number to dial should be provided by your provider.

-If you have a GSM Modem (not plugged into a phone line) you will want to use the SMS Text Pager: GSM Action which dials directly to your cell phone and provides you a text message.
