SRM and Compellent

I have followed the documentation for adding Dell Compellent arrays into SRM and I can get SolarWinds to make the connection, but it always says that no compatible arrays were found. I have tried establishing the connection to Dell Storage Manager 2016 R3 and to the new Unisphere Central for SC Series 2018 R1. Neither one works.

The only documentation I found was for older versions of Dell Enterprise Manager:

If anyone can help me make this work it would be appreciated. Too bad it isn't as simple as monitoring my Pure Storage arrays, those are simple

Ok, after doing further testing I finally figured it out on my own. The documentation that I linked above no longer applies to Dell Storage Manager or to the new Unisphere for SC. The process is much simpler now, so here are the steps:

1) Create a new account in DSM/Unisphere that has the admin role and the password cannot be longer than 8 characters nor have any special characters

2) Login to DSM/Unisphere as that newly created user

3) Add all the Storage Centers into the profile for that new user

4) Verify that SMI-S is enabled

5) In SolarWinds go to All Settings and Add Storage Device

6) Select Dell Compellent

7) Choose the Poller

8) Add  SMI-S Provider and enter the IP or Name of the DSM/Unisphere server

9) Choose existing credentials or add new credentials, supplying the name and password for the newly created user in DSM/Unisphere

10) Verify that the Interop Namespace is "/interop" and the Array Namespace is "/root/compellent"

11) Save and then let Solarwinds discover the arrays added to that new users profile

12) Select which arrays you want Solarwinds to monitor and then finish

As another note, I attempted to create the user as Reporter, or to change the user to Reporter after it was set up, but for some reason Solarwinds cannot connect to the account if it is a Reporter, it must be an Administrator in DSM/Unisphere.
