Application Alert

I've got a new application monitor with two components that are both down and never have been up. When I assigned the application monitor to a node, the application alert was never triggered. The application status shows grey, then eventually red about 5 minutes later and the node details show the "SAM application Down" under event summary.

The alert trigger looks like:

AlertTier is a custom property and other application alerts are generated using it, so it works. The node's AlertTier property is set to 2.

I could be mistaken but I think you have to use the status in numerical format. Give this a try. Status = 2 may mean it alarms if the status is reported as down. if that works, you can use any of the below status values to really refine the alerting.
