Windows Log Forwarder Installation

I am confused, do I use the SolarWinds_LogForwarder_1.1.15_Eval_Setup.msi or .exe file to install? I assume the .msi

Hi Valsilva,

You'll want to use the exe if you are installing the Log Forwarder from the workstation or server's console.

You'll want to use the msi if you are deploying the Log Forwarder to multiple workstations/servers from your domain controller.

Thanks. Is it advisable to use this over the Snare agent, any trade-offs?
