Monitoring remote sites

Hi All,

We have a Solarwinds NPM and NTA server in our data center and we would like to monitor a remote client site over the WAN

what is everyone using to do this ? is there a cost effective way of doing this ?

Are there 3rd party monitoring software plug-ins that can we integrated into Solarwinds ?

There's obviously no "one-size-fits-all" answer to this (or heck, even a one-size-fits-most!). Some specifics that would help offer you choices that will fit your needs:

* how many devices or elements or flows are at this remote site
* how fast is the connection? how big is it?
* when you say "cost-effective", what kind of budget do you have. * Yes, I know, "free would be nice". But if mgmt can only afford free then the devices in the remote location aren't very important.

* what kind of information do you need - do you need NetFlow? Hardware status/performance? Just availability?
