Kiwi E-Mail From field in Actions

Under Kiwi Rule Actions I would like to send email from:

Kiwisyslog <account@domain>

For example Kiwisyslog <debbi@xcompany.org>

If I put anything other than the debbi@xcompany.org in the E-Mail From field under Actions, Kiwi questions if it is a valid E-mail From address. How can I formulate the field so it will say it is from Kiwisyslog and not just the email account, and Kiwi will not complain?

Hello Debbi,

To my knowledge, the display name associated with an email address is set within the properties of an email account on the recipient's mail server. This cannot be controlled by the sending party. Using a mail program, one can modify the display name of a contact, however, that reference only exists within the contact information of the mail client being used. Kiwi Syslog server does not have/store contact information in this manner.

So you are saying that the only way I can have Kiwi not come up with the message: "Validation fails for 'e-mail from address'" is by limiting the entry to the address itself, without a display name, in the E-Mail From box in Kiwi?

Yes. Only enter the email address.
