monitoring web pages

I need to monitor individual web page availability on our web servers - I can't find any useful information on how to do this from the APM documentation so I would grateful if someone could point me to step by step instructions.

(I haven't yet managed to get APM to do anything useful at all and I wonder if we have purchased the wrong product)

any help apppreciated

I am sorry to hear that APM is not working well for you, I have found it to be the most useful SW product we have as it can do just about everything one could ask for with regard to application level monitoring.

 

Monitoirng website availability is very simple to do.  Just go in and assign an HTTP template to the desired node where the websites exist.  At that point you can specify the port for the website if it is somthing other than port 80 as well as noting the specific URL that you want it to look for.  For additional websites just add more HTTP components to the application; one per website noting the URL for each one in the component monitor.
