How is NetApp data collected?

Question

Have used Solarwinds products for years as a network engineer and now have been placed as manager of our storage platforms.

Does anyone know how Storage Profiler collects its data from Netapp hardware?  Does it use FilerView/API?

If so I believe that has been deprecated and anyone running newer releases of 7DOT or CDOT won't be able to be polled for information.

Anybody with a large NetApp deployment using storage profiler and are you aware if it supports all flavors of NetApp versions/modes?

As far as CDOT support any time frame or idea of how high on the stack that feature is being actively worked on?

Hi Brian,

Storage Manager collects data from NetApp filers via the OnTAP API. We currently support 7-mode for all filers running 7-mode. Cluster-mode (CDOT) is currently on the STM WWWO: Storage Manager - What We Are Working On
