Suppress Child Packet Loss Alerts During Parent Dependency Outage

I know there are discussions on this matter but they all seem outdated. I was hoping to see what people are doing these days to stop the billion packet loss alerts that come in for every single child node during a site outage. I currently have manually set up all my dependencies and while I do not get the billion "node is down" alerts on all the children during an outage, I still get a billion emails regarding packet loss on the children. How do I make it stop? What should I add to this alert for SW's to NOT alert on packet loss of children during a parent outage?

I can't help but notice I've received not a single packet loss alert today...Is my set up stopping all packet loss alerts? Something may not be correct with my set up what am I missing?

To not get packet loss on the child nodes, you need to go into settings -> polling settings llinteau12

In there find the following and make sure it's not checked - is this checked right now? "ALLOW ALERT ACTIONS FOR UNMANAGED OBJECTS"

No sir that is not checked. I think it's working actually I'll follow back up once we've had a major issue and then I'll be able to tell for sure.

llinteau12 I couldn't edit my post yesterday to clarify that it is a possibility as opposed to a certainty Additionally, maybe you want to edit the time for this condition (note at the bottom of your screenshot) to something like 10-15 minutes? Thus, it will only trigger if you have *sustained* packet loss, which might give things time to be marked unreachable.
