Performance Monitor Events detail problem

Hi and thanks in advance for any help!

I am demoing a copy of Engineer's edition and have encountered a strange behaviour with the Network Events part of the Monitor Tool.

Very often Network Events will show up on the Events Monitor "floater" window but when I try to view the events in detail (by clicking on either the Event text or the event-type icon) I do not get the detail view I want (nothing really happens at all). Clicking the "x" portion of the Event deletes it immediately...

It seems as if the problem occurs after a few hours of use. At first the event details print out fine but then after a while they do not.

Any ideas?
