From what I'm reading is it still not possible to automate IPAM IP address reservation, setting as used, and applying the hostname etc? If so is there an ETA on this functionality?
you are right, with current IPAM it doesn't work. but it's our current highest priority. would be super helpful to tell us for what integration story you want to use it.
Hi, I'm not exactly sure what integration story means. We'd use it with vCAC and vCO to grab an IP automatically based on next available, set the machine name, description, and used (etc).
thanks, that's exactly what I wanted to hear. what is your problem you want to solve - in this case automation of getting free IP during new vm provisioning.
