best way or tool to find bandwidth hog

which tool or combination of tools would allow be to track down what user is hogging the bandwidth on our T1.

The tools measure overall bandwidth on the link... If you want to find the big users then turn on IP ACCOUNTING on the interface of the router and watch for the IP address generating the most traffic...

2 options we could try :
Sniffer - if your traffic to your T1 router is predictable (ie know what ethernet interface is used) then you could sniff that interface and just sort by traffic.
Netflow - if you use Cisco routers you can use Netflow that monitors all flows thru a router and you can export the data to a netflow collector. There are several netflow collector/reporting tools on the market. NetQoS is one that I've seen good write-ups on.

Configure Netflow on the interface then display the cache.
Cut and paste to Excel .......... check top ten ....
