Hi, how can i to configure NetFlow configurator on my Catalys 6509?

Hi, i have Solarwinds Engineer´s Toolset V.9, i need to analyze the LAN traffic on my net, but when i try to configure the NETFLOW Configurator in the Catalyst 6509 i received this message:

THE DEVICE YOU SPECIFIED DOES NOT ALLOW THE CONFIGURING OF NETFLOW SUPPORT, PORTS, INGRESS AND EGRESS INTERFACES THROUGH SNMP

How can i allow this support on my Catalyst 6509?

i hope that anyone can help me.

Hi Jerge,

The NetFlow Configurator will not work on 6509's. You'll have to do a CLI config of NetFlow on that device.

Is there somewhere in teh documentation or on the SW web site that you maintain a list of the vendors and models that the NetFlow Configurator will work with?

It just works with Cisco routers.

On 6500s, there are a couple of things that will determine how much Netflow data you'll get. In order to get both routed and bridged traffic from Netflow, you'll need either a PFC3B or PFC3BXL running IOS 12.2(18) SXE or later. If you have a PFC3A or you're running IOS code earlier than 12.2(18)SXE, you'll only get routed traffic stats.
