I seem to have an issue where rules that I setup disappear in setup. I have ensured the rules were active.

This is a known issue in Kiwi Syslog Server 9.5.
-To workaround the issue, right-click the Kiwi Syslog Server manager and click "Run as administrator". Make the needed changes.
-To fix the issue, implement Hotfix 2 for Kiwi Syslog Server 9.5, which is available in the Customer Portal at http://customerportal.solarwinds.com/

I have found this also applies to rules which are changed. The change shows in the rules list but is not in effect. Restarting Kiwi Syslog Server manager shows the rule as it was before the change. Once the setup change has been saved while Kiwi Syslog Server manager is in Administrator-priviledge the manager can be restarted with normal priviledge (as happens, for example, with a computer restart) and the setting change appears to be retained.
Please make sure that you have Syslog v9.5.0-Hot Fix 2 installed.
