Has anyone successfully upgraded from 10.0.1 to 10.5? I have 2500 monitors and would rather not have any issues.
You shouldn't have any issues. Are you under maintenance?
Personally I get a little worried every time someone uses "shouldn't" in an answer to an upgrade question...
I've looked for an upgrade guide for going from 10.x to 10.5, and I don't seem to see one. Is there such a thing?
drauc,
Murphy's law dictates that if we say "You won't have any issues", you will. Anything can happen. On the other hand, the upgrade from ipMonitor 10 to 10.5 has no conversions of any kind, therefore, there is no reason to run into any issues.
As with any software upgrade, I recommend backing up your installation beforehand. The easiest way to do this is to stop the ipMonitorSrv service and backup the \ipmonitor\ directory. This will backup your configurations and your statistics.
Once this is done, simply run the ipMonitor 10.5 installer and it will automatically upgrade your current installation.

I am under maintenance. I haven't attempted this yet. Really wanted to hear from someone else who successfully completed this migration.
Fodome,
I tried the upgrade yesterday with the basic process of:
The installation went without errors, so I started testing.
When I went to the URL to sign in I got an error because the port number had changed. I adjusted that in the configuration manager, signed in, and everything was looking good.
Then I tried logging in from a remote system and couldn't get the webpage to respond. After a bit of mostly random poking I hit the edge of my short maintenance window and rolled back using the snapshot.
I am going to try again today and when I hit the same problem I expect to call support. I'm assuming it's going to fail and I'm going to be grumpy, which I don't really like.
Keep your fingers crossed,
drauc
