Hi Everyone,
Does anyone know how to report the availability of a node/interface based on IPSLA operations?
The scenario we have is a Management network that is totally independent from the WAN network (that we need to report the node availability based on it).
Orion is on the management network, and the polling IP of the Node is eventually from of the management network, and has no visibility on the WAN (WAN interface is not pingable from Orion machine).
We need to report Node availability, packet loss, and latency based on the WAN interface and not the Management interface, so we installed VNQM (to use IPSLA).
My questions are:
1- Is it possible to define Node availability based on interface availability using data from IP SLA operation?
2- Is it possible to define the alarms for latency, packet loss, and node availability (Node down) based on IPSLA?
3- In case the management interface is down and the WAN interface is up and working properly; i.e. node will be down from Orion side, but IPSLA operation on the node will be up. When the management network is up again, will the availability of the WAN interface will remain 100% or it will be affected by the down time of the management interface?
Thank you in advance for your support and much appreciated.
