Historical statistics of APM components

Hello Fellow Thackers...

I know I am probably asking a question that has been asked before, however I have not been able to find the answer in any of the forums so here I go.

We would like to track over time the results of Average Disk Queue Length for a number of our key servers.  I have been able to create a new component using the information in previous posts like  and  to allow me to do this.

The issue is that the APM components only give us the current value of the queue length.  We want to be able to track this value over time to see how increasing the load on the server impacts the queue length.  The APM component provides historical information on the availability of a component, but it does not provides historical information on any statistic that the component is extracting.

If anyone know how to do this that would be appreciated.

Hello Simon,

APM can give you historical data from statistic. Just open APM Application detail (clicking on application) and there click on component you are interested in (in Components table). It opens APM Component Detail where you should see chart with statistic history. If it is not there, click "Customize Page" in upper right corner of page and add "MIN/MAX Average Statistic Data" resource to your page (it can be found under APM Charts category).
