Right now we monitor our servers using Orion, and I need to create alerts for each server based on temperature thresholds that we would like to set. The problem I'm having is locating where Orion stores this information and how to set alerts for it. If I go into a node I have a hardware health section that looks like the following:
Clicking on that entry takes me into a detailed page that has history, statistics, etc. This is great, but I have no idea where to create alerts for this. I've tried going into both basic and advanced alert managers on our Orion server to create alerts as I have in the past for other requirements we have, but cannot find anything that remotely resembles this temperature reading. There seems to be a built-in temperature reading but it doesn't have actual value thresholds (unless I'm just not understanding how to choose them), rather just things like "normal", "warning" and "critical".
This template above doesn't even seem to work anyway, as I've never received an alert since setting it up and we've had times where the servers have hit 20+ degrees hotter than they would normally run. Is there a better way to do this, or at least to specifically choose that system board ambient temp reading you see in the first picture? Thanks ahead of time!
