NPM Alerting on Switch Access Ports???????

Does anyone know of an easy way to exclude switch access ports from alerts without having to MANUALLY go to every switch and "unmanage" each access port interface?

This can be quite cumbersome when you literally 100's of switches on your network. I really don't need to know when PC gets rebooted on the edge of my network (if you know what I mean) but still need to know when a trunk link goes down.

Any help would be appreciated.

There are a couple of ways to achieve this. If your trunk links have something like "trunk" in their names you could add the condition to only trigger if the interface name contains "trunk". You could also add a custom property like "trunk" and assign that to each trunk interface. Then you would edit the alert so the it includes interface status is equal to down AND custom property trunk is true.
