Alert only when both device's IP Addresses are Down

All of our network devices has redundant CPUs (primary and secondary), each with different IP addresses. One is always up while other is down. When the primary cpu fails, it 'should' failover to the Secondary cpu, and vice-versa. How do I alert only if both CPUs are down? Thanks.

Are these CPUs nodes that you can add to a group? If so and if you're open to it, it might make sense to create groups based on pairs of nodes. It should be relatively simple to create a single advanced alert if you standardize on the naming convention of these groups.

In the trigger conditions of the alert you will need to create an all condition, and then you should have a condition that says IP Address is ... You will need to add two of those to accomodate both IPs and then add a condition for status equal to down.

Thanks Chrystal- But your answer requires me to create an alert for each and every network device I have. That would be difficult to maintain if I understand this correctly. Is there a way I can create a custom property for each IP Address and then the Alert process can look at both custom properties IP address that be sure at least one is pingable? Else I will have to create over 200 advance alerts.
