I'd like to request a feature enhancement for NCM.
In both the web interface and the console, you can select "execute command script", which runs a job right then and there. Like most companies, though, we have a change window, and we aren't supposed to run jobs during the day most of the time.
With scheduled change windows, we frequently use the schedule a command job to setup routine changes (port vlan changes, whatever) during the day so that they all trigger off at 4:15pm when we're allowed to start making changes.
Sure, I can give people access to the server console and have them setup scheduled jobs to run later. But that's a) a pain and b) prone to error (a scheduled job defaults to "all nodes", which is very bad! and c) more access than I want to give everyone.
Instead, I wish to request that everywhere there's a "execute command script" there's an easily accessable option to "run at time". If you select a time other than right now, have it add the job to the schedule queue.
