I'm quite new to SolarWinds, and was wondering if anyone can assist me with setting up an alert for Cisco Port Security SNMP trap messages.
The Cisco Port security configuration is set to : switchport port-security protect and to trap to the Orion server. I can see the trap messages for CISCO-PORT-SECURITY being sent to the Solarwinds server.
I want to create a custom alert, so that I can see this as an active alert once a Security Violation occurs. I just need some help on the Trigger Condition, and the Trigger Action. I do not wish to send a notification Email, or any other action. I just want it to display an alert in the Alert Centre and to show the Switch Hostname, Time/Date and Interface. Hopefully this makes sense.
