Historical Errors and Discards available in Report Writer

I'd like to build a report similar to the "Total Bytes Transferred by Interface" reports in Report Writer, except that I'd like to get reports of errors and discards rather than bytes.

However, when I go to the "Select Fields" tab i the Report Designer, I find that there is historical interface traffic information available (Bandwidth, bps, Packets, Bytes), but the only error and discard information available is current (This Hour, This Day).

This seems counter-intuitive, since historical error and discard graphs are available in the System Manager application. This makes me feel like I must have missed something obvious.

Can someone point me in the right direction on how to get this type of report?

No, that's the type of report you would select when you create a new report. Do you not see it in the list of report types when you click New in the toolbar?

You're going to need to create a new report that is based on Historical - Interface Errors.

Yes, I do, now that I'm lookin there... I had assumed that all the base resport types were instantiated in the pre-defined reports that appear in the list at the left-hand side of the Report Writer main screen. Doh!
