Newbie here looking for some info on a storage report.
I'm running a report for my EVA SAN and the last column is "Data Transfer". Can someone explain this to me? Is this Continuous Access traffic?
Thanks!
while webdev fixes the issue, please open a support ticket http://www.solarwinds.com/support/ticket/supportticket.aspx and select "Storage Manager Eval" from the Solarwinds Application drop down. You can provide any value for the customer id & serial number if you dont have one.
Which report exactly? Can you post a screenshot if you dont mind?
It's from a report I made: Storage Array HP EVA\Performance\Controller Performance.
Straight from HP documentation
Percent data transfer time is the same as CPU %, except that it does not include time for any internal process that is not associated with a host initiated data transfer. Thus, it does not include background tasks such as sparing, leveling, Snapclone, Snapshot, remote mirror traffic, virtual disk management, or communication with tools such as HP Command View EVAPerf
Okay, thanks for the response. That leads me to the question - can/does storage manager monitor CA?
If not, please consider this a feature request - it would be nice to collect data something like you can get with 'evaperf drt'.
Thanks.
I have a development in C # for parse logs the evaperf and view them in the GUI environment.Apply aitzbitarte@teleline.esIt's free
