How does one add a Storage Tab in Node View?

I'm trying to add a Storage (predefined) view tab into my current node view. When I click on '+Tab' tab, it take me to the screen to add the tab I select Storage and the click 'Done' ... Nothing happens.

Macfinish,

Storage tab shows up when you have the Virtualization Manager Product fully integrated and the Node in question is a VM. Otherwise the Storage tab in node details is hidden. Would you like help with this?

I have Virt..Mgr too, fully integrated and Lic. I would think this should be simple, But,Yes please, I could use the help. Thx

Are you talking about the STM or the SRM product?

I do not have Server Resource Monitor. I only have SAM, NPM, IPAM, VM, DT, & NetFlow.

So it looks like this VM is just a node in Solarwinds and not being monitored by Virtualization Manager. Just to confirm, has the host or vCenter where the VM resides on been added as a data source in Virtualization Manager?

I'm pretty sure the host was added correctly in the VM. Does this look right?

Yes your Virtualization Manager (VMAN) is monitoring the VM correctly which likely means that we cant match up the VMs that were already in Orion to VMs that are in Virtualization Manager because the ManagedObjectID in the Orion database is different than the world ID in the VMAN database. WE use the following 3 things to to match up VMs:

WorId ID

BIOS ID
Name

Are you by any chance monitoring the VM directly through the ESX host instead of the vCenter? If you monitoring the host directly, there are two options available:

Option 1: If the host appears under the vCenter tree in the (Virtualization Assets resource) on the Virtualization Summary page you can simply go into settings and change the polling to use the vCenter instead of the Host.

Option 2: If the Host appears outside of the vCenter then we can run a query to match up the VMs between Orion and Virtualization manager and then change the polling to vCenter.
