Is it possible to create alerts when new/unknown node or ip address detected in a subnet?
Use Network Sonar Integration that is now provide with NPM. If you configure a scheduled scan of your Network Subnets, it will add a notification at the top of the NPM web interface that includes what new nodes, interfaces, drives etc were found.
I don't know if this is what you are looking for, but it would provide you with the notification of newly found/added devices.
Navigate to:
Admin - Node Management - Network Sonar Discovery
to setup a scheduled Network Discovery.
Thank you, I tried Network Sonar Discovery but it does not send alert emails and it automatically adds the unknown nodes to the database, which is not what I want.
Basically I monitor my network and want NPM somehow sends me an alert email when new/unknown nodes detected, or when users connect a new device to the network.
Mine does not automatically add the node it actually creates a banner on the Orion Website and asks me what I want to do. See image.
Is there anyway to make it send email when detecting rogue/new IP ?
