Duplicate IP and MAC addresses

When I use switch port mapper on a cisco 6500 IOS. I get all the ports mapped as expected but also a duplicate of each mac/ip address coming from a single fast ethernet port. Only difference is there is no DNS name for the duplicate. Conncted to this port is a Fortigate firewall. Before this fortigate was installed, we never experienced this problem. Anyone any ideas how to get around it ?

And36y - we recently resolved an issue in SwitchPortMapper that should take care of this. It will be in SwitchPortMapper 9.2 Hotfix 1, which will be released any minute now. I will post a note in this forum when it is available.

Thanks I have just tried switchport mapper hotfix 1. it hasn't made any difference, I still get duplicate Ip addresses

and36y - Are the duplicates being resolved (getting a hostname)?

The duplicates will assigned to that port because that is what is in the bridge table.
