I deployed Orion Platform 2018.4 to my test server today in advance of a rollout to my production SolarWinds environment following our holiday freeze. The configuration of SAML was super easy and works seamlessly. However, I have a question concerning moving Windows Groups to SAML Groups.
I currently have 19 different AD Groups that I use for my users to access SolarWinds. I assign all permissions on the group level. I am planning to remove the few individual accounts that I will be removing once I deploy 2018.4. I know my existing groups will be carried over. With that being said, is there an easy way to move these groups from Windows Groups to SAML Groups?
I am looking on my development server and I think the answer is going to be "No" and that I will have to go group by group to ensure I match all the permissions and settings but I figured I would ask. Thankfully, this should be a one-time thing.
