Problems logging in over SSH when expired password forces password change

My device, SmartSynch GridRouter, is undoubtedly running Linux under the hood and has the capability for multiple users. Whenever a user's password expires the user is forced to change their password upon next login. This type of login prompt causes me not to be able to SSH to my device with NCM. Is there anything in NCM that might could handle this situation? I have tinkered with the device template file but am not sure that it is possible. Here is a code snippet of what I might see when I log in over SSH after the password is expired:

I launched a formal ticket with SolarWinds and received the following response from their support staff:

- Unfortunatly there is no any mechanism/logic defined in NCM to tackle the expired password situation.
- NCM cannot recognize the prompts what putty CLI session or Telnet CLI session can recognize.
- So therefore in order to login into the device you will have to change the password on the device and then use that password to login into NCM.

I will try and request this as a future enhancement but in the mean time I will try to preemptively change passwords prior to their expiration.
