Dell iDRAC Node Details
Hi! Stupid question, @blackstoneindeed. What does this give us for iDrac monitoring? I am highly interested in monitoring my iDracs more in-depth.
This poller pulls the iDRAC software version and sets machine type to the version of iDRAC(in my case iDRAC 7 and 8). To poll more details like firmware version on the chassis will require a UnDP. I am considering making a poller set for those items but have not had time yet.
What are the system requirements for this?
I have a Dell PowerEdge R430 with iDRAC8, running the Dell open-manage software on CentOS. I have snmp enabled on the OS and configured in Solar-winds. It is Agent initiated, but I did give it snmp details when selecting Manage as Node. I keep getting not a match when trying to scan against this node. NOTE: I am able to use open-manage commands in the OS to get hardware details.
Looking for some advice or good documentation on how to do this.
