I see a post from quite a while ago discussing a need for properties to automatically populated based on rules:

Did anything ever come of this? If so, how would I do it?
I'm looking to, after running a scan of particular subnets, autopopulate a location field based on an IP address. And if I can do that, autopopulated a 'purpose' field based on the name it finds.
