I was having trouble editing, through IPAM, the MAC address for an existing DHCP reservation. The trouble was that I would get inconsistent results. The DHCP server is windows 2012.
After a minute, the tech told me that it was unsupported to edit the MAC address. He then told me I couldn't do it through the Windows GUI either because it isn't a supported operation.
Is this really the case? I've been doing it for years.
I will have to say that I was less than impressed with the support as I pointed out that if it wasn't supported then the IPAM interface shouldn't let me do it but he didn't seem to think that was a problem.
thanks.
