Monitor message queues

With APM is there anyway to monitor the Exchange messages queue so an alert may fire when x number of messages have not left the queue or to notify that there is a problem with Exchanges communication to the internet?

APM v1.0 cannot monitor the message queue, and I can't really think of any way APM could help tell you that your Exchange server is having difficulty connecting to the network. Not unless your Orion server is connecting to your Exchange server through the Internet.

Alterego is correct. We can't monitor Exchange queues in v1, but we're planning to provide a more generic WMI monitor in the next version of APM. Which version of Exchange are you using; MSFT made some big changes w/r/t WMI in 2007.
