Web Application Filtering Slow

Hi,

I have the following configuration. 1 x server 2003 running SQL 2005 and 1 x server 2003 for running kiwisyslog and web app. They will be responcibile for receiving syslog from roughly 150 windows servers via the SNARE agent.

The issue I currently have is performance, the web app is rediculously slow at applying filters. I'm currenly testing it out with 4 servers and it can take minutes for a filter to be applied. The database is currenlty 700MB+, I beleive it can grow to max of 4gb before old files are overwrittern. I expect our database will always be that size.

Any tips / things to look out for? 4GB db seems somewhat tiny that should perform so badly.
