Installation of multiple products

I am looking for a best practice on installing a multiple software solarwinds solution. The hardware I have is a physical server with SQL 2014 and a virtual server with Microsoft 2012 data center.

The products I am looking to install are:

Network Performance Monitor

Netflow Traffic Analyzer

Server Application Monitor

IP Address Manager

Visualization Manager

Web Performance Monitor

Log & Event Manager

Firewall Security Manager

User Device Tracker

Network Configuration Manager

Web Help Desk

DameWare Remote Support

Patch Manager

Mobile Admin MAX

Which applications can run on the same Virtual server?

1. NPM, NTA, SAM, IPAM, WPM, UDT & NCM should all be installed on a single server (virtual or physical is fine).

2. Log & Event Manager & Virtualization Manager are both virtual appliances (HyperV or VMWare).

3. You can use your SQL Server for the Orion products and WHD as the backend database.

4. Do you have the license levels for these products so I can recommend HW sizing?

5. Could you provide another virtual server for the NTA Flow Database?

This should get us started.

I have 2 physical servers: 1 has licensing for SQL - planned to be my Database server. 1 has licensing to support multiple VMs using Microsoft Data center license.

In response to #5 can this be a separate VM on the same hardware as the server running #1 (NPM, NTA, SAM, IPAM, WPM, UDT & NCM should all be installed on a single server)

Virtual Server #2 - NetFlow Database

Virtual Server#3 - LEM (Virtual Appliance)

Virtual Server #4 - VMAN (Virtual Appliance)

Physical Server #1 - SQL Server

Do you have an current WSUS server for Patch Manager?
