NTA v3 - Chart Error - No Data

When I go into NTA and enter an IP address in the "Search NetFlow Endpoint" field I get a list of interfaces from my Netflow source. This is normal behavior. When I drill down to some of the interfaces this client shouldn't be passing traffic to NTA shows the error "Chart Error - No Data". This is based on the standard 2 hours of data. When I go back 24 hours I still get the error "No Data". The further back I go I it's the same error or the query times out. Does anyone have any suggestions?

...I know this is no help to you, but i get the same results.

Anything with Time Period in HOURS seems to always get "Chart Error - No Data"

Anything outside Time Period of HOURS gets "Report Loading Cancelled" (Refresh your browser (F5) to try again.)

or else I occasionally get a few correct graphs with only one or two with "Chart Error - No Data".

I also get these occasional errors "System.Web.HttpException. Request timed out." - plus - "Sys.WebForms.PageRequestManagerTimeoutException. The server request timed out."

And hey - i'm scheduled to do a in-house demo on this tomorrow....i'll bring my guitar and sing them some tunes instead.

I have not seen this issues yet. Can you open a ticket with support and I'll help get this resolved.

Sorry Andy. It's amazing how much difference a comma can make.

I'm investigating what traffic is going through a particular interface from a specific client since it shouldn't be passing any data through this interface. NTA is showing this interface when I enter the IP address in the search, but it doesn't show any data for the last two hours. That's understandable, so I extend the time period to 24 hours and still no data. I try again going into the last day or two and that's where I start getting timeouts. So NTA is smart enough to know that data has been transferred through this interface from the client I defined in my search, but I can't get NTA to show me what traffic, due most likely to the time period I'm entering. That's just my guess.

I'm running my database on a dedicated SQL Server running SQL 2005 x64bit Standard Edition. The DB server has 8GB of ram running Windows Server 2003 R2 x64bit Standard Edition. The database is running on a four drive RAID 10. And if I'm to believe the SQL Management Studio, my database is only 38GB in size. This is a radical reduction from NTA 2.x where my DB was over 100GB. I have just over 100GB of free disk space on the volume and my DB has 70GB of free space. I hope that information is useful.

Anyone get a solution to this? The support team is trying to tell me to uninstall Netflow, deleted all the SQL tables for Netflow and reinstall.....I just have a hard time understanding that is the fix for this as others are experiencing the same thing..........

i am also receiving the same error and i am in a remote location to where i cannot do a ghost session, but if i can get a fix for this problem that would be great.

We do have a work around to uninstall NTA, remove db and reinstall. I know this is not a popular solution so I have escallated to find a better fix.
