I am receiving lots of Transmit Discards on one port on my switch. What does this mean?
Without knowing the config of your switch, it's hard to tell if it's being told to discard it or if the packet buffer is full and it's discarding them.

this is a great article! Thanks for the help. I believe we are seeing these discards because we have a 10/100port on our switch directly connected to a gigabit port on the ISP router. I will configure a gig port on our side and move the connectionthere. Hopefully this will solve the discard issue.
