GET or POST a URL to a Web Server

In running NPM v8.5, Basic Alerts still have the option to GET or POST a URL to a web server. However, Advanced Alerts don't have that option in their list of possible alert actions.

Is that an oversight or perhaps something that will be enabled in future versions?

Unfortunately, that's my primary method of alerting. POSTing to Verizon's text messaging webpage is almost instantaneous in getting to my cell phone.

we have a customer where this feature is a go / no go criteria for buying orion.
they also want to raise a cell phone call via http server to I/O converter when there is an advanced alert.

is there any workaround to get this alert method for advanced alerts?
if not, is it possible to install an older version with this feature included?

I am wanting to switch over from Basic to Advanced, but we currently use the post URL functionality with our existing ticketing system.

Now I am trying the alerts action about GET or POST a URL to a web server. My question is that how to transfer the variable (like date, node name, stauts etc) by using http POST. Is there anyone can give me an example. Thanks a lot!

We use the URL GET/POST to send sms messages to a http sms gateway. Right now at the end of the URL i use:

&message=Node%20${NodeName}%20is%20${Status}

Variables are not getting parsed. Content of the message just shows "Node%20${NodeName}%20is%20${Status}".

You can upgrade to 10.0 we added a new alert action to allow you to do this in 10.0
