According to master application directory of SAM, we can monitor SQL Server 2005,2008,.2012.

Can we monitor SQL Server 2000 using SAM ???

You might be able to using the SQL user experience monitors and SQL port monitors. I don't think the AppInsight applications would work though. However I believe SQL 2000 is end of life so it may be best effort with no real support.

It means we cannot monitor SQL Server 2000 from SAM.

It means it's not supported, but you can still try with the monitors mentioned previously.
