I've been experiencing some issues with NCM, where NCM inventories will not pull interface details. At first, I thought it was an issue with SNMP v3. God knows, - I have enough problems with v3 on NPM. I'm anal, so everything is 100% patched and up to date on all my SW products, including the MIBs databases. Apparently that's not a good thing?
Anyway, to make a long story short, there is a separate MIBS.cfg file kept in the \Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Solarwinds.
Not sure how it gets there or by what process, but it is definitely new and much smaller. I copied this version over to the NCM Application Folder and fixed my inventory issue.
Obviously, something else is broken in my installation for these measures to be taken, but I thought this information could helpful to those who might need a quick fix.
Has anybody else experienced similar problems?
I thought it might be a more prevalent issue, since I have multiple NCM servers exhibiting the same symptoms.
