Email Alerts from Network Performance Monitor

I'm having difficulty getting NetPerfMon to send email alerts for "Interface Repsonding?". It's logging the occurances but not sending an email. NetPerfMon is sending emails for other alerts but NOT the one I particularly want. Can anyone help?
