EOC Map

Today I am feeling like an idiot. Not much different to usual I suppose.

What i am attempting to do is give a high level map in network atlas for my various clients in Network Atlas. I am reasonably sure that I have the most recent version. Some thing do confuse me though.

1) All the documentation seems to indicate a button called connect now. This is not available in any menu that I can see.

2) If I take the top level green dot, then that displays fine. If I have a client, and I want to display all their various sites on this map, dragging the green dot from that site puts on green dots for all of the endpoints beneath that site. I just want to display the site. All I want is client name -london as one dot, not all the dots for all of london. But so far as I can tell EOC only displays at NPM install level.

Can anyone tell me the answers to the above?

It sounds like you need to install the latest version of Network Atlas. This you can do from one of the Orion NPM installations (current version v10 sp1). I have found it is best to uninstall the previous version and then install the more recent afresh on your PC.

I am not 100% sure what the issue is with your 2nd point, but EOC does not currently allow a mix of Maps and Sub maps from BOTH the EOC level and individual Orion NPM level

Ok I'm not sure what you mean by install the latest version of the network atlas from one of the npm installations, as said being an idiot today... There is no installer for it that I can see, but it is a newer version on the NPM.

Ok so to be a bit clearer. What I am trying to do is display as follows:

Client X - london site

Client Y - London site

Client Y - Hamburg site

Client Z- Derby

Client Z - Rome

Client Z - Malta

And then display those on a map. So sort by site / City. The trouble is if I pull at client X level in the tree then it will just put one dot. If I pull at client Y site it will list all of the endpoints for that site (i.e. 10 servers and a switch and a firewall) . I dont want that, I just want one site per icon. Is this possible?

First question, EOC does not support Connect Now.

Second question, I am not sure I understand the request. What I suggest is to create a map on each orion to cover the site. Then make that a submap of the EOC map.
