Is there any way to to give a specific user access to publish packages to a WSUS server without putting them into the eminentWare enterprise administrators group? I've given the user the WSUS Server Administrators role.
I think a local administrator role is needed for publishing. I have always used a specific set of credentials just for that purpose in Patch Manager,
Thanks, the service account set in the credential ring definitely has local admin access for the WSUS server. I added the user account connecting to SolarWinds as a local admin on the WSUS server and get the same message.
When you say "local administrator role" are you referring to a role within patch manager? I do not see such a group.
No, just the local administrator on the server where patch manager is located.
Is the user a member of the WSUS Administrators group on the WSUS server?

No, the user is not in the WSUS Administrators group on the WSUS server. Very interesting indeed.
