Adding Nodes Programmatically

Hi,
First, we are running Orion NPM v8.
We are on the edge of a large network rollout and are planning to automate the commissioning process. One step of the process is adding the newly installed node to Orion.
Is there a software interface that can be called in order to add a new node to Orion for polling? Alternatively, can the node be added directly to the Node and Interface tables in the database.
Any help in this regard would be appreciated and may save countless hours, and potential mistakes, manually adding nodes through the user interface.
Please note that network discovery is not an option in this implementation.

Related to this but even more detailed, can SolarWinds please sharing the properties and methods available to both the SQLResource and the Resource objects. By providing developer documentation about these and other objects, SolarWinds may find an extremely helpful, energetic and forward thinking user community that can take the web based NetPerfMon application to the next level.
