These release notes provide additional guidance for SolarWinds Network Topology Mapper v1.0 SR1.

New Features
- Nodes with multiple IP addresses are now supported in tooltips, details windows, and search queries.
- Spanning tree now reports states in English instead of state values.
- Link speeds of 10GB now show as 10Gb instead of >1Gb.
- Added the ability to drag column headings to rearrange tabular reports.
- Added the ability to cancel WMI credential tests in progress in the discovery wizard.
- Added the ability to export maps to Visio even when product is in evaluation mode.
- Visio map export is now compatible with Visio 2013.
- Installer now validates maintenance expiration dates.
Fixed Issues
- Fixed an issue where NTM could quit unexpectedly if you run a new discovery that finds a node without an IP address (an Unidentified or a Proxy node) and you afterwards change the discovery type to Automatic in the Edit Map Properties dialog box.
- Fixed an issue where NTM could quit unexpectedly if you copy a scheduled map that has pending scheduled results to a second computer and attempt to merge those pending results on the second computer.
- Fixed an issue where NTM could quit unexpectedly if you change the password of a map before merging any pending scheduled discovery results.
- Fixed an issue where NTM could quit unexpectedly if you apply a map filter to a "Known Connection" report.
- Fixed an issue where NTM could quit unexpectedly if you move or delete a map in Windows Explorer, cancel its scheduled discovery in NTM, open another map, and then try to display that map's "scheduled discoveries" report.
- Fixed an issue where NTM could quit unexpectedly if you uninstall NTM, reinstall NTM, open a previously saved map you ran a scheduled discovery on at least once, and then try to merge the latest pending scheduled results in the notification bar.
- Fixed an issue where NTM could quit unexpectedly when adding new custom properties.
- Fixed an issue where NTM could quit unexpectedly after changing the password of a map.
- Fixed an issue where NTM could quit unexpectedly when applying map filters in the Known Connections report.
- Fixed an issue where NTM could quit unexpectedly when selecting the scheduled discoveries report.
- Fixed an issue where NTM could quit unexpectedly after adding a seed device.
- Fixed an issue where NTM could quit unexpectedly in the Node Details window if you clicked Cancel after clicking Manage.
- Fixed an issue where NTM could quit unexpectedly if it encountered malformed subnet masks.
- Fixed an issue where NTM could quit unexpectedly if you accessed the Discovery Scheduling window after changing a maps scheduling frequency from Once to something else.
- Fixed an issue where NTM could quit unexpectedly if when saving discovery results you tried to overwrite an existing map with no default password.
- Fixed an issue where NTM could quit unexpectedly if you added SNMP credentials.
- Fixed an issue where sometimes canceling a discovery job does not cancel and you have to manually cancel the job. See KB 4521.
- Fixed a credential cache issue that interfered with opening maps or merging the scheduled discovery results if you scheduled an extremely large number of scheduled discoveries.
- Seed devices that return invalid subnets no longer cause discovery to fail.
- Removed the unnecessary warnings that appeared when canceling a scheduled discovery for a map and then opening the map.
- Filtering L2 and L3 connections in the Known Connections report now displays them correctly.
- Fixed a memory issue where NTM could become unresponsive during discovery.
- It is no longer possible to open simultaneous instances of NTM.
- Maps open in NTM are now correctly file-locked by the operating system.
- The date and time format of custom properties now correctly matches that of the operating system.
- Fixed an issue where network scans sometimes duplicated previously known nodes.
- It is no longer possible to save one map as second map if the second map is already open in NTM.
- Column heading text now word-wraps correctly in reports.
- The Delete key now correctly deletes multiple nodes.
- When editing maps, Edit > Select All now correctly only selects nodes and not edges.
- In STP reports, the Bridge Id column has been split into Bridge Priority and Bridge MAC Address.
- The Scheduled discovery reports now show the correct Node Role names.
- Maps are now saved in the Documents folder of the correct user.
- Canceled discovery jobs are now canceled correctly.
- Fixed an issue where NTM could produce redraw errors when opening an exported map.
- The SNMP v1 v2 credentials test now correctly also tests SNMP v2.
- You can now correctly maximize the NTM window.
- Maps imported from Network Atlases no longer are missing the connections between nodes.

Stability
- NTM may quit unexpectedly if you change the Compositing Mode setting to SourceCopy in the Graphics Settings Editor dialog box of the Print Preview.
- NTM may quit unexpectedly if you try to print to the Microsoft XPS Document Writer.
Product Limitations
- If you run discovery for an NTM map that contains virtual machines that you've already entered credentials for, the discovery will run twice.
- NTM can only run one discovery job at a time regardless of how many map tabs are open.
- It takes a long time to open maps larger than 1000 nodes. NTM may appear unresponsive, but the map will open eventually.
- It takes a long time to change the map layout on maps larger than 1000 nodes.
- The integrated Remote Desktop function won't work on Windows Server 2003 64-bit unless you have applied the Microsoft Hotfix and append
%winDir%\Sysnative to your %path% variable. See http://support.microsoft.com/kb/942589/en-us. - If the NTM certificate is deleted or modified by another program, none of the scheduled discoveries will work until you repair the certificate and then reschedule all the discovery jobs.
- You may see unpredictable results if you open the same map in different NTM clients at the same time.
- NTM can't display L2 connections from devices that do not provide bridge table data. If you are missing L2 connections, this is the likely cause.
- NTM does not import unmanaged nodes and edges from Network Atlas maps.
