Help with scheduling a report job to export / email an excel file, not a webpage view.

Hello there! I have created a custom report which will show me all device circuit utilization for 24 hours. However, I have not nailed down how to make the report repeatable to run daily and have it export and email results. I know it can be done where it will run the report and show the web view of the report, but that does not give me a way to extrapolate the details. It exports the webpage / printable version. Is there a way to have the report to be scheduled to run the query, export directly to excel, and email it to me? If so, how? I think I am pretty well versed in Solarwinds and I can't for the life of me figure out how to get this to work from within report writer or a scheduled job. Again, it has to be in excel format just as it would be from within designer, I don't want a webpage mailed to me.

I haven't found a way to do this. We tried adding the &dataformat=excel to the end of the url in the report scheduler, but that didn't work. So, the only supported formats are HTML and PDF.

Thanks for the response. I think they absiltuely need to allow us to run reports and export them in excel. If I can do it from report writer, I should be able to create a task/job. Now I am saddled with having to run the report manually and exporting it myself. Kind of annoying, but a limitation is a limitation I suppose.
