How to revert changes in View

Hello,

During thinkering around View in SAM (AppInsight for SQL in this case) I've added some Resources to the view, then found it overloaded... how can I retrieve original list of resources in given view?

Or can I restore View's configuration form some point of time?

Since this is an out-of-the-box view, you can simply delete it and re-run the Configuration Wizard. This will restore the view to its default layout.

but what about other views?

I have prepared also some dedicated views on test installation and I would be happy (it would save day or two) to export them and import to production environment of future (it would be fresh install on much stronger hardware rather than upgrade).

And how can I secure custom/customized views from misclick or other mistakes?

Views are stored in the database and are not exportable at this time. Unfortunately your only recourse now for migrating a customized view from one Orion instance to another is to recreate the view on the other Orion instance.

To my knowledge there is no default view named 'AppInsight for SQl Statistic Details'. It sounds like you may have created a custom view and possibly assigned it to replace one of the out-of-the-box views. Your SAM user account settings should look like the following. My theory is that the "AppInsight for SQL Statistic View" was replaced somehow. This should either be set for the 'Default' or 'SQL Performance Counter' view.
