Alert for F5 if ANY load balancer changes from Active to Standy.

Ive been asked to create an alert if any load balancer Failover Status changes from the previous polled status.

Sounds simple enough, but when you go into the WEB Based alert builder there is no provision to measure current value v.s previous value.

Any Ideas?

My gut reaction would be to:

1) Open a Feature Request to add "Failover Status has Changed" as an event for F5 devices in the web alert engine. (Network Performance Monitor Feature Requests)

2) Use SNMP Traps to alert on failover events in the interim (Monitoring Active/Standby failover)
