File Watching monitor in IPmonitor 8.5 build 1163

Hello,

 I'm new on this forum, and I have question about File Watching monitor.

I create this monitor, like is in documentation, but this not work - monitor is always green.

I create content, and if in file is word "stopped" send me line, but preview show me that "1 of 1 found" but monitor don't change state, what going on ?

hello TKurowski,

ipMonitor will always display the file watching monitor as green, should it be able to read from the file. The job of this monitor (in v8.5) is to parse the file and tease out useful information - which can be sent to administrators via the alerting system.

So, you're not doing anything incorrectly ... the monitor should be green. v9 offers enhanced directory and file monitoring. You're welcome to try it outon a test machine, or read more on it, by downloading an eval.
