One of the cool things about the SolarWinds Hyper9 Virtualization Management product is how easy it is to extend it to do things beyond the out-of-the-box features.
Here is a new ALERT that you can add and modify for your own Hyper9 environment. It alerts for the condition of when Memory Limits are set below the configure amount – typically resulting in a VM that will balloon if memory is needed.
The 25% shown below means that the machine is limited at 25% of the configure amount. In this case, 512MB vs 2GB.
Easy. And a very cool and useful addition.
